Many Women all over the world are plagued by cellulite, although men can develop cellulite is is mainly considered a women’s problem. To date there is no known cure for the skin problem and it seems anyone, regardless of weight can get cellulite.. But what causes cellulite has been a question pondered by scientists for years, it has been found that cellulite is actually little pockets of fat under the skin. The most common areas for the dreaded bumps to occur are the thighs, hips and rear end.

There is a general opinion the what causes cellulite is heredity, this is because it affects both skinny and overweight people equally. Although it has been proven that not eating healthy types of foods can greatly contribute to what causes cellulite, another well known theory as to what causes cellulite is a slow metabolism and not drinking enough fluids. There are many products all claiming to cure cellulite. Unfortunately because of the uncertainty of what causes cellulite there is no actual cure to the problem. Although some products do a good job of reducing cellulite it has been proven that even cosmetic surgery cannot rid the body completely of cellulite.

Ways to Prevent Cellulite.

Because science cannot give an accurate reason to what causes cellulite there is no way to actually cure it. The only thing an individual can do is to take measures to prevent the problem from making an initial appearance. To start a prevention program you can eat healthy with a diet rich n fiber and low in fat. Be sure and stay hydrated with plenty of water, constantly dehydrated skin has been linked to cellulite. And the most important thing you can do is to exercise regularly. Smoking should also be avoided as it fills the body with toxins that contribute to what causes cellulite and damages skin cells, not to mention the other negative health affects it has.

While there is no actual cure for cellulite there are some simple effective measures you can take. It just takes persistence and dedication to avoid cellulite before it starts.
